General Questions

To log in, you can select the Login button at the top right or click the 'Manage My Company' button on the Home page. In order to log into the VPA Police TWIC Registration System, you must be an approved representative of your company. The Primary Company Representative for your company can issue permissions for you to gain access to the system and manage your company.
If you are a primary contact within your company, you have administrative rights over the users within your company. You can view and edit information about those users, along with adding new users.
The Card Registrations tab allows you to view pending card registrations that have been saved or submitted by your company. Once a card registration has been accepted by the VPA, the registration will be removed from the list and you can view the employee's information under the Employee's tab. In addition to viewing pending card registrations, you can begin a new card registration from this location.
On the Employees tab, you can view all currently registered employees within your company. In the table, you may select 'View Badges' next to a particular employee and see all badges that have been registered by that employee. In addition, you can update employee information from this tab.
To submit a card registration, you will need to inform the appropriate representative from your company that you are ready to submit a card registration. Each company has an appropriate representative who can log on and fill out a card registration. You will need to have all of the appropriate information on hand to fill out the registration with your company representative.
The VPA Police TWIC Registration System has replaced the paper submission registration. After completing your registration, you will receive an e-mail providing an appointment number. After completing your registration and safety training, you will need to go to the VPA office and provide an officer with your appointment number.
Information about your company can be accessed by clicking on the navigation bar dropdown at the top right hand side of the screen. One the dropdown has expanded, click on 'My Company.'

Company Questions

Once you have logged in, you can view information about your company by clicking the drop down menu at the top right hand side of the screen. Once the drop down menu is displayed, select 'My Company' to view information about your company.
Only user's with Primary Representative permissions can update company information. To update your company's information, you must log into a Primary Representative user account. If you are not a primary representative and your company's information needs to be updated, please inform the primary representative within your company.
Upon registering your company for this system, you chose the type that is specified. In many cases, third parties are required to authorize access for new companies that register in the system. Because the company type impacts access to the system, we must restrict the ability to change the company type once a company registration has been approved. If you have a special case scenario, please contact a VPA administrator.

Profile Questions

Once you have logged in, you can view profile information clicking the drop down menu at the top right hand side of the screen. Once the drop down menu is displayed, select 'Profile' to view your profile information.
To update your profile information, select Profile in the drop down menu at the top right hand side of the screen. Once at the 'My Profile' page, click the 'Update Info' button. At this page, you can update your email account and phone number. Note: If you change your email address, your username will automatically update to be your new email address.
To change your password, navigate to the 'Profile' page via the drop down menu at the top right. Once at the Profile page, click the 'Change Password' button. To change your password, you will need to enter your current password along with the new password. Once you have supplied your current password and new password, click the 'Update Password' button. If the password update is successful, you will receive a success message following the attempt.

Company Registration Questions

In order to manage your employee's TWIC Card Registrations, you will need to register your company. During the company registration process, you will provide information about your company's location and business type. Along with this, you will provide two users to manage your company's account: a primary representative and a secondary representative. Lastly, if your company is under a contract, you will supply the information about the contract.
The Primary and Secondary representatives will have different roles within the system. The Secondary representative will be able to submit new card registrations for employees at your company. In addition to this, Secondary Representatives will be able to view all employees currently registered with the VPA, and request deactivation of their privileges if your company no longer grants them access. Primary Representatives have the same capabilities as Secondary Representatives along with being responsible for maintaining your company's user access and company information. The Primary Representative will be able to add new users if necessary, along with deactivating any users who no longer should have access to the system.

Card Registration Questions

The following information will be needed to complete a card registration:
  • Name
  • Driver's License: Number, State of Issue, and Expiration Date
  • Contact Information: Address, Phone Number, Email
  • Personal Description: Weight, Height, Hair Color, Eye Color, Gender, D.O.B.
  • Emergency Contact Information: Name, Phone Number, Relationship
  • Authorization Information: TWIC Card Info, ILA Number (if applicable), access requests
  • Non-citizens: Place of birth, Employment Authorization Card, Green Card, Social Security Number, Work Visa
After your card registration has been submitted, you will receive an email providing you an appointment number to visit the VPA. Prior to visiting the VPA, you should have completed the safety training that is required in order to get VPA card. When you visit the VPA, provide them with your appointment number, and they will finalize the process and provide you with your Port Identification Card. When this process is complete, your company representative will be able to see that your registration has been accepted into the VPA system.
